The Club maintains a fully stocked Pro Shop.

Men's Program

As in many clubs, Wednesday is loosely referred to as Men's Day at Aurora.  However, while a large portion of the tee times are reserved for men, women can play before 11:30 am and after 2:30 pm.  So, it is not strictly Men's Day.

Competition is primarily the province of the Men's Association which provides a program of events throughout the season. Members of the association participate in a full schedule, which are held on Saturday mornings (except holiday weekends) throughout the season.

The Men's Association program is supplemented by a 3-day Member Guest Tournament, Member/Member Tournament, Inter-club matches, several "Stag Days" , "Old Pal" Tournament, Pro-Member Event, Club Championship, Buick® Scramble and a 2-Day Stroke Play Tournament.  In addition, there are three Novelty events that bring the season to a close - Chili Open (course played backwards with the players fueled by chili and Bloody Marys!), Mulligan Open (each player plays 2 shots!) and the very last event is the Turkey Day Scramble in late November (weather permitting).

Women's Program

Aurora Women's Golf AssociationTuesday is Ladies Day at Aurora. However, men may obtain tee times that don't interfere with the Women's progress on the course. This usually means that men can tee off after 11:30 am. The day's events are organized by the Aurora Women's Golf Association (AWGA).

  • League Golf

The AWGA has leagues for those wishing to play 18 and/or 9 holes.

  • 18-Hole League

Members of the 18-Hole League tee-off at 8:30 am (9:00 am May & September) each Tuesday starting in May and playing through September.

  • 9-Hole Play

The 9-hole League provides an opportunity for beginners and those with limited time, an opportunity to participate in competitive golf. Play takes place on Tuesdays, May through September.

The 9-Hole League tees-off either in the morning after the 18-Hole League, or at 4:30 or 5:30 pm in the evening.  There is also a '9-holes Light' ladies program for ladies just starting to play golf. Ladies sign-up and meet at 5:00 pm on Tuesdays and tee-off after a short lesson.

  • The Greater Cleveland Golf Association (GCGA) & InterClub Play

The Greater Cleveland Golf Association (GCGA) comprises 12 private clubs, and each each season member clubs each sponsor an event . Membership of the AWGA is required to participate in GCGA activities.

Members of the AWGA also have the opportunity to play in InterClub matches against other clubs, including Hudson, Lake Forest, Tanglewood and Walden.

Other Events

The AWGA organizes the annual Women's Member-Guest and Women's Member-Member tournaments and is involved in the staging of the Women's Club Championship.

Junior Program

Aurora believes that the future of golf in general and the future well being of the Club is heavily dependent on its Junior Members.  To create enthusiasm for the game and lay a sound foundation a structured Junior Golf Program is offered.  Starting in early June, the program involves a series of clinics designed to meet the needs of the various abilities of the junior member.  To sure that everyone has an enjoyable experience, juniors are grouped according to their age and skill level. The clinics are followed by regular on-the-course playing opportunities. The season culminates in a Junior Golf Championship Day and Pool Party.

Couples Golf

While there is no formal program for couples golf, a variety of events are staged throughout the season that are designed with both the competitive and social aspects in mind. These include holiday weekend events on Memorial Day, the Firecracker Classic on July 4th, and Labor Day - all of which are followed by barbecues. In addition, there is a Couples' Member/Guest Tournament and Clambake.   Couples also have the opportunity to participate in an 'Old Pal' Competition and organized events such as and Friday Night Couples Golf and a series of couples events staged in conjunction with Walden Golf & Country Club and Barrington Golf Club.
